INFO ABOUT CONURES
The Green Cheeked Conure is one of the smallest conures weighing around 70 grams. That is about 15 grams smaller than a Cockatiel. They are also one of the most readily available conures in aviculture, and therefore the least expensive. But, don't let their small size or price fool you. They have every bit of the great personality as the bigger conures. I think they are a great "next-step-up" from Cockatiels, (for pet owners and new breeders), since they are more like having a big parrot.
Life span: 30 years or more with proper care.
Diet:
Pellets please. I feed Zupreem and Roudybush. They love the shapes and the taste. Green Cheeks need extra fat in their diet because they are so active, so a few nuts and sunflower seed can be benificial. Just make sure they are getting mostly pellets because it has all their viamins in it. Also offer fresh food and for variety. I offer the frozen mixed vegatables from the supermarket, thawed of course. They relish them!

When thinking about the Conure group, there are many species available in the pet market to choose from. Most are rather inexpensive, and a smaller sized bird, that will not require a huge cage or toys. Some can be quite loud, like the beautiful Sun Conures, and some are considered to be relatively quiet, like the Green Cheeked Conure.
We here at Devaduttaviaries just love these little ones. There Is lots of info about the Conures and the many species available. We At Devaduttaviaries breed the (Green Cheeks) And also the (Cinnamon Green Cheek Conures)
